AMD’s Ryzen 9 7945HS has been spotted in the Geekbench 6 database, powering the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14. This chip is the same as the existing Ryzen 9 7945HS, with an upgraded NPU capable of 16 TOPs of processing power. The notebook tested is ASUS’ ROG Zephyrus G14 with 32GB of DDR5 memory and the Radeon 780M iGPU.
The Ryzen 9 8945HS features 8x Zen 4 cores with a peak boost clock of 5.2GHz, the same as its predecessor. It is backed by 16MB of L3 cache and a TDP of 35W to 54W. The Radeon 780M iGPU is powered by 12x RDNA 3 Compute Units (CUs) clocked at up to 2.8GHz. This year-old graphics processor beats Intel’s Meteor Lake iGPU in most games while drawing less power.
The ROG Zephyrus G14 is ASUS’s 14″ flagship, often accompanied by a dGPU such as the RTX 4060 or 4070. Take the Geekbench scores with a grain of salt as they’re often a representation of “burst” lightly threaded performance, more suitable for smartphones than high-performance PCs. You can expect this high-end configuration to cost well over $1000 and possibly over $2000 when paired with a dGPU.
