The prices of NVIDIA’s RTX 40 Super lineup have leaked out, courtesy of Moore’s Law is Dead. The YouTuber has shared the specifications and pricing of the Ada Lovelace Refresh ahead of the CES 2024 announcement. We’ll start from the RTX 4080 Super at the top and make our way to the RTX 4070 Super in the budget segment. Before we begin, please note that while all three Supers will be unveiled during NVIDIA’s “Special Address,” they’ll hit the market one per week through mid to late January.
The GeForce RTX 4080 Super is priced at $999, which is $200 less than its predecessor. It has a minor bump in core count and slightly faster GDDR6X memory. It’ll pack 10,240 shaders, up from 9,728 on its predecessor. The 16GB GDDR6X buffer will be clocked at 24Gbps, up from 22.5Gbps on the existing variant. As a result, you get a bandwidth of 768GB/s, up from 716.8GB/s on the vanilla 4080. With a 6-9% performance uplift, it is very similar to the vanilla RTX 4080.
The RTX 4070 Ti Super is priced between $799 and $849. It’ll leverage the AD103 die, the same as the 4080. The graphics engine will feature 8,448 shaders, up from 7,680 on the 4070 Ti. It’ll be the only Super to increase the memory to 16GB and the bus from 192-bit to 256-bit. This will result in external memory bandwidth (and performance) similar to the RTX 4080. It is marketed as the RX 7900 XT killer.
The RTX 4070 Super is priced between $599 and $649. It also leverages the AD104 GPU, albeit a heavily cut-down variant with 7,168 shaders. The memory and bus will remain unchanged at 12GB and 192-bit, respectively. It should perform roughly the same as the RTX 4070 Ti.
The GeForce RTX 4070 is expected to get a price cut to under $549. Multiple retailers, including Newegg and Amazon, are already selling the SKU at $549.
